REFERENCES IMPORTANT REFERENCES IN WATER ASSESSMENT

The approach used to develop the water2irrigation.com Water Quality Guidelines for diffrent use was that the guidelines should as far as is practically possible serve as a stand-alone source of information and support base for decisions for water resource managers to make judgements about the fitness for use of water used for different used purposes. It is accepted that, in many cases, the user will also have to consult different sources or obtain expert opinion before reaching a final conclusion as to the fitness of water for use. However, the guidelines should in these cases at least indicate to the users what kinds of information to look for.
